Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice (I use basmati, jasmine, medium or long grain rice)
  • 2 cups boiling hot water straight from the kettle

Instructions

  1. Pour the rice and water in a medium sized saucepan.
  2. Put the lid on and bring to the boil.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 12-14 minutes.
  4. Fluff the rice up with a spoon and serve.
