Old Fashioned Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 125g unsalted butter, room temperature
- ⅓ cup caster sugar
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- 1 egg, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 ¾ cup SR Flour
- 200g chocolate chips (any combination of white, milk, dark or caramilk)
Instructions
- Preheat oven 160ºC and line 2 baking trays with baking paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar and vanilla. This can take approximately 5 minutes. You will want a nice thick creamy consistency.
- Add the egg and mix until well combined.
- Sift the flour into the bowl. Add the chocolate chips and using a large spoon, stir until just combined.
- Roll a heaped teaspoon of dough into a ball. These will be about the size of a golf ball. Place on your prepared tray.
- Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
