Hot Cross Bun Churros

Ingredients

  • 2 hot cross buns
  • 100g butter, melted1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp caster sugar
  • Cinnamon sugar, for coating
  • Nutella, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 160ºC (fan-forced). Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Mix melted butter, caster sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Set aside.
  3. Slice each hot cross bun in half widthways, then cut each half into 3 batons.
  4. Dip each baton into the cinnamon butter mixture, ensuring all sides are coated. Arrange in a single layer on the baking tray.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden and slightly crispy.
  6. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and serve warm with Nutella.
