Chicken Shawarma Wraps

Quick, flavour-packed Chicken Shawarma Wraps with juicy marinated chicken, fresh salad and creamy garlic sauce.  Ready in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken thigh fillets, cut into strips
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • Juice of ¼ lemon
  • 2–3 tbsp shawarma spice mix (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken: In a large bowl, combine the chicken, olive oil, lemon juice and shawarma spice mix. Toss well to coat.
  2. Rest: Cover and marinate for 1–4 hours in the fridge (or cook immediately if short on time).
  3. Cook: Heat a large pan or grill plate over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken in batches for 6–8 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Serve: Warm pita or wraps, then fill with chicken, salad, garlic dip or tzatziki and cheese (if desired).
