Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (skin off)
- ⅓ cup hoisin sauce
- 1 teaspoon Chinese 5 spice
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Sprinkle sesame seeds
- To serve: Steamed rice and vegetables of choice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven 180ºC and line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Lay the salmon flat side down on the baking trays.
- In a small bowl, mix together Hoisin sauce, Chinese 5 spice and Sesame oil.
- Brush the sauce over the salmon pieces.
- Place in the oven to cook for 10-12 minutes.
- Sprinkle with the sesame seeds.
- Salmon will be ready to serve with your choice of vegetables and steamed rice.
Notes
NB. The times I suggest are for the thick pieces of salmon. If you are buying the prepacked thin salmon pieces, you will need to reduce your cooking time to perhaps 6 minutes and halve the marinade.
