I’m a mango lover, so this time of year is my absolute favourite. The tropical fruits are in season, and mangoes are so affordable at the supermarkets right now. Why not grab a few and give this beautifully refreshing smoothie a try?

This creamy mango smoothie is a big hit in my house - my daughter and I can’t get enough of it! It’s our new favourite for a refreshing and energising after-school treat. Packed with fresh mango (you can also use frozen mango) and just a few simple ingredients, this smoothie is perfect for kids or adults needing a little protein boost or anyone craving a tropical pick-me-up.

Mango and Passionfruit Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 mango or 1 cup frozen mango
  • ½ fresh passionfruit or 1 tablespoon tinned passionfruit
  • ½ cup yoghurt of choice (e.g. coconut, vanilla, greek yoghurt)
  • ½ cup milk of choice
  • ¼ cup oats
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • ½ cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Peel and dice the mango or measure 1 cup of frozen mango.
  2. Add the mango, passionfruit, yoghurt, milk, oats, chia seeds and ice cubes to a blender.
  3. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • If you don't like passionfruit, you can simply leave it out
