Calamari Salad

One of my all-time favourite lunches to order when out is a plate of freshly cooked calamari - crispy, tender and oh-so-delicious. Am I right? What if you could easily recreate that restaurant-quality dish at home? Thanks to pre-made calamari and your trusty air fryer, you can! Pair it with a fresh, vibrant salad, and you've got yourself a quick, easy midweek meal or a perfect, simple weekend lunch idea!

Calamari Salad

One of my all-time favourite lunch orders is a plate of freshly cooked calamari - crispy, tender and oh-so-delicious. Am I right? Ingredients

  • 1 box of pre-made frozen calamari
  • 120g baby spinach leaves
  • 1 capsicum, cut into chunks
  • 1-2 tomatoes, cut into chunks
  • 1-2 cucumbers cut into chunks
  • Kewpie mayonnaise
  • Lemon wedges

Instructions

  1. Cook the calamari according to the instructions on the box (oven baked)
  2. If cooking in the air fyer cook 200ºC for 12 minutes. Turn half way.
  3. In each individual salad bowl place some baby spinach, and tossed vegetables.
  4. Top with cooked calamari and a squeeze of lemon and kewpie mayonnaise.

Notes

  • Using pre-made frozen calamari pieces makes this recipe a simple and easy midweek dinner option.
  • Cook the calamari according to the instructions on the box, either in the oven or in the air fryer.
  • For a fun family-style meal, serve the salad ingredients in separate bowls and let each family member build their own custom salad.
