Moroccan Lamb Pizzas
Moroccan lamb pizzas. Packs a flavour punch and it’s so easy too!It is such a simple recipe to whip up for a quick weekend lunch, a midweek dinner or to entertain friends. You could quite easily prepare the mince ahead of time and then assemble and cook as needed.

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 500g lamb mince
- 2 teaspoons cumin
- 2 teaspoons coriander
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- ½ cup water
- Turkish bread (or any other pizza base)
- Grated pizza cheese
- ¼ cup pine nuts, toasted
- Handful spinach leaves, shredded
- 1 tablespoon shredded mint leaves (optional)
- Marinated goats cheese/feta cheese
- Hummus
- Beetroot hummus
- Garlic dip/tzatziki
Instructions
- Preheat the oven 200ºC and line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Heat oil in a frypan over medium-high heat. Add lamb mince and cook, stirring until the lamb changes colour.
- Add the spices and cook, stirring for 1 minute.
- Add the tomato paste and cook, stirring for 1 minute. Add the water and stir until the water evaporates. Place on a clean plate and allow to cool for 10-20 minutes.
- Cut the Turkish bread into serving pieces and cut in half. Lay open on a lined baking tray. Spread the Turkish bread with garlic dip and hummus.
- Add a little grated cheese then top with the spiced lamb mince. Sprinkle with toasted pine nuts, spinach and mint. Finish off with goats cheese, grated cheese and garlic dip.
- Alternatively, you can gently mix the cooled spiced mince, pine nuts, spinach, mint and goats cheese in a bowl before adding to the pizza bases. This can be prepared ahead of time.
- Bake in the oven for 5-6 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
- Just before serving, add hummus and beetroot hummus and cut into smaller serving pieces if desired.
