2 Ingredient Fudgy Chocolate Mousse (Viral Peach Chocolate Dessert)

I’ll admit — I didn’t believe this one at first. Two ingredients? No cream? No eggs? Surely not.

But if you’ve seen the viral 2 ingredient chocolate mousse taking over social media, you’ll understand the hype. Made with just canned peaches and dark chocolate, this version blends into the most incredible fudgy, silky-smooth dessert. Rich, glossy and completely irresistible, with no cream, no eggs and absolutely no complicated steps.

The natural sweetness and velvety texture of blended peaches create the perfect base for melted chocolate, transforming into a decadent chocolate mousse that sets beautifully in the fridge. It’s budget-friendly, family-friendly and ideal for dinner parties, Easter entertaining or those nights when you need a quick chocolate fix without turning on the oven.

Slice and serve with a dollop of yoghurt, softly whipped cream or a sprinkle of grated chocolate for an effortless dessert that tastes far more indulgent than it has any right to.

Ingredients

  • 1 x 410g can peaches in juice (drained very well)
  • 280g dark chocolate or milk chocolate, chopped
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional to serve:
  • Thick Greek yoghurt
  • Whipped cream
  • Grated chocolate

Instructions

  1. Line a standard loaf tin with baking paper, allowing overhang for easy removal.
  2. Drain canned peaches thoroughly.
  3. Melt chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in 30-second bursts in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
  4. Add drained peaches, melted chocolate and a pinch of salt to a high-speed blender. Blitz until completely smooth and glossy.
  5. Pour mixture into prepared loaf tin and smooth the top.
  6. Refrigerate for 4-5 hours or overnight until fully set and firm.
  7. Lift from tin, slice with a sharp knife (wiped clean between cuts) and serve with yoghurt, whipped cream or grated chocolate.

Notes

TOP TIPS:

  • Drain peaches well: Excess liquid can prevent the mousse from setting properly.
  • Use good quality chocolate: The flavour of this dessert relies heavily on the chocolate you choose. (I use home brand Woolworths dark chocolate as pictured)
  • Blend until silky smooth: Scrape down the sides of the blender to ensure no peach pieces remain.
  • Chill overnight if possible: The texture becomes firmer and fudgier the longer it sets.
  • Warm knife for clean slices: Dip your knife in hot water and wipe dry between cuts for neat slices.
