Ingredients
- 500g milk chocolate melts
- 20g copha (or 2 tbsp coconut oil)
- 1 × 395g tin sweetened condensed milk
- 10 candy canes, roughly chopped
- Silver cachous balls (optional)
Instructions
- Line a square cake tin with baking paper, leaving overhang for easy lifting.
- Add chocolate melts, copha and condensed milk to a large microwave-safe bowl.
- Microwave for 3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until smooth and fully melted.
- Pour the mixture into your prepared tin and smooth the top.
- Quickly sprinkle over chopped candy canes and gently press them into the surface.
- Refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or overnight for a firmer set.
- Lift the fudge from the tin and cut into bite-sized pieces.
- Add silver cachous balls if you like a bit of sparkle!
Notes
TOP TIPS:
- Use fresh candy canes: Older ones soften and lose their crunch.
- Work quickly: The fudge sets fast - sprinkle the candy canes straight away.
- Neat slices: Warm your knife under hot water, dry, then slice.
- Festive mix-ins: Try adding crushed Oreos, mini marshmallows or white chocolate swirls.
- Gifting tip: Pack pieces into small cellophane bags or tins for cute homemade Christmas presents.
