2 Ingredient Chocolate Mousse
I’ll admit, I was VERY sceptical when I first saw this recipe doing the rounds on social media. Two ingredients? Tinned peaches and chocolate? Surely that couldn’t turn into a proper chocolate mousse! 😂
But somehow… it does!
This 2 Ingredient Chocolate Mousse is made with nothing more than tinned peaches and dark chocolate, blended together until beautifully smooth and creamy, then popped into the fridge to set.
And before you ask… no, it doesn’t taste like peaches! The chocolate is definitely the star, while the peaches give the mousse its lovely smooth velvety texture and just the right amount of sweetness.
There’s no cream, no eggs and no baking, making it one of those ridiculously simple desserts that’s perfect when you’re craving something chocolatey without a lot of fuss.
Serve it straight from the fridge with fresh berries, extra tinned peaches, a dollop of yoghurt or whipped cream and a little grated chocolate over the top. It’s an easy little dessert for entertaining, Easter or simply when the chocolate cravings hit!

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you taste the peaches?
No. Once blended with the dark chocolate, the peaches create a smooth texture and natural sweetness without an obvious peach flavour. Most people would never guess what's in it!
Can I use milk chocolate instead of dark chocolate?
Yes. Milk chocolate will create a sweeter mousse with a milder chocolate flavour. Dark chocolate gives the mousse its rich, intense chocolate taste.
How long does chocolate mousse last in the fridge?
Store covered in the fridge for up to 3 days. The mousse will continue to firm up as it chills.
Can I make this ahead of time?
Absolutely. This is a great make-ahead dessert for dinner parties, family gatherings or special occasions. Simply prepare it the day before and keep refrigerated until serving.
Can I freeze chocolate mousse?
Yes. Freeze in individual containers for up to 2 months. Allow to thaw in the fridge before serving.
What can I serve with chocolate mousse?
Try serving it with whipped cream, Greek yoghurt, fresh berries, grated chocolate, chocolate curls or a dusting of cocoa powder.

Notes
TOP TIPS:
- Drain peaches well: Excess liquid can prevent the mousse from setting properly.
- Use good quality chocolate: The flavour of this dessert relies heavily on the chocolate you choose. (I use home brand Woolworths dark chocolate as pictured)
- Blend until silky smooth: Scrape down the sides of the blender to ensure no peach pieces remain.
- Chill overnight if possible: The texture becomes firmer and fudgier the longer it sets.
- Warm knife for clean slices: Dip your knife in hot water and wipe dry between cuts for neat slices.
